Ingredients for Your Gourmet Sauce

  • Lean Ground Beef: 2 lbs, the hearty base of our sauce.
  • Onions: 2 large, chopped, for sweetness and depth.
  • Tomato Sauce: 2 14-oz cans, rich and vibrant.
  • Lemon Juice: 2 tbsp, adding a refreshing zing.
  • Sugar: 2 tbsp, to balance the acidity.
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 2 tbsp, for that classic Caesar flavor.
  • Tabasco Sauce: 2 tsp, for a spicy kick.
  • Celery Salt/Seed: 1 tsp, for a hint of earthiness.
  • Ground Pepper: 1 tsp, because a bit of spice is always nice.
  • Vodka: 4 tbsp (optional), to elevate the sauce with a subtle, boozy note.

Crafting Your Culinary Masterpiece

Creating the Base

  1. Brown and Sizzle: Begin by browning the ground beef and onions in a large skillet until the meat is no longer pink. This step is key to developing the rich flavors of your sauce.

Mixing the Magic

  1. Simmer and Season: Drain any excess fat and add the tomato sauce, lemon juice, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, celery salt/seed, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well, then bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly, infusing every bite with flavor.

The Finishing Touch

  1. Elevate with Vodka: After simmering, stir in the vodka if desired. This optional step adds a layer of complexity to your sauce, making it truly unforgettable.

Freezing for Future Delights

Divide and Conquer

  1. Cool and Portion: Allow the sauce to cool, then divide it into two batches. This ensures you can enjoy a delicious, homemade meal now and have another one ready for later.

Seal and Store

  1. Ready for the Freezer: Transfer each batch into a freezer-safe container or bag. Label with the date and contents, then freeze. Your Caesar Spaghetti Sauce is now set for future enjoyment.

Serving Your Gourmet Sauce

From Freezer to Table

  1. Thaw and Reheat: When you’re ready to indulge, thaw a batch of sauce in the refrigerator overnight or first thing in the morning. Pour it into a saucepan and warm over medium heat until heated throughout.

The Perfect Pairing

  1. Pasta Perfection: Serve your rich, flavorful Caesar Spaghetti Sauce over a bed of hot, cooked spaghetti noodles. The combination of tangy, savory sauce with al dente pasta is a match made in culinary heaven.

Tips for a Perfect Dish

  • Pasta Choices: While spaghetti is a classic choice, feel free to experiment with different types of pasta to find your perfect match.
  • Garnish Galore: Elevate your dish by garnishing with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, a sprinkle of parsley, or even a few capers for added flair.
  • Serving Suggestion: Pair this unique spaghetti sauce with a crisp Caesar salad and a glass of your favorite wine for a complete, themed dining experience.
