1cupmixed fresh berriessuch as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries
Instructions
Prepare the Berries: Rinse the berries gently under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove stems and leaves as needed. Lightly crush the berries using a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their juices while keeping some texture.
Combine with Vodka: Place the berries into a clean, sterilized glass jar. Pour the vodka over the berries, ensuring they are completely submerged.
Seal and Steep: Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place. Shake gently once a day to help the flavors meld.
Taste Test: After 5 days, taste the infusion to check the flavor. If it’s not as bold as you’d like, let it steep for another day or two, tasting daily.
Strain: Once the desired flavor is achieved, strain the vodka through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl to remove berry solids.
Bottle: Transfer the strained vodka into a clean bottle or jar. Seal it tightly and label with the date and contents.
