Even you can make fried green tomatoes at home.
6 large green tomatoes, cut in 1/4″ slices
1 cup cornmeal
Vegetable oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Cut tomatoes, then coat each side with cornmeal on a plate. Use salt and pepper to taste. In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, then fry tomatoes each side until browned.
