What do you do when you don’t have a plan to have freezer meal for dinner that night? Chances are it involves rushing around trying to get everything ready for dinner when you are making it from scratch.
What I found out is that I go and I take five extra minutes while I’m making lunch to do prep work for my recipe, it saves a ton of time and evening while I’m making dinner, so I can use that time to spend it on making a side dish or a salad or just spending more time with my family.
For example if I have to chop a bunch of vegetables for dinner, I can do that at lunch time while I am making lunch in the kitchen. Or if I need to make a sauce to marinate meat for half an hour before , there’s nothing wrong with that meat marinating for 3 hours instead, for the vast majority of marinades (unless it is extremely acidic).
Think about your favourite meals that you make them scratch and think about how you can make that night time go faster by simply doing it by spending a few extra minutes when you’re making lunch anyways in the kitchen.
