Here’s a quick way to make your own buttermilk, with ingredients you most likely already have in your home.
First you need room temperature whole milk. For every 1 cup of room temperature whole milk, add one tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar. Then let the milk mixture sit for five minutes, then you have a great buttermilk substitute.
