If you discover stains on any of the mattresses in your house, such as from your child’s bedwetting stage that they have hopefully outgrown, chances are you thought you were stuck with them for good. There is a homemade remedy you can do to remove them.
Pour cornstarch into a container and slowly add water, creating a thick paste. Gently pour over the stain, then allow to dry for a minimum of four hours (best to do this first thing in the morning to allow for ample drying time). Then vacuum the dried mixture off the mattress.
To prevent stains in the future, consider using a mattress pad. You can even get waterproof pads for the kids in your household who still have bed wetting accidents, or on your own bed for “that time of the month”.
