Before Covid, the easiest way to quickly clean off a computer monitor was to simply use a disinfecting wipe and give it a quick rubdown. But with infecting wipes being nearly impossible to find nowadays, we need a better solution on how to keep a computer monitor screen dust free.
Believe it or not, the easiest way to prevent dust from building up on your monitor screen is to use a fabric softener sheet and rub it along the screen. The fabric softener will transfer onto your computer monitor and it will prevent the dust from being attracted to the screen. The sheet won’t leave any visible film or anything on the screen itself that would affect the screen if you’re looking at it.
If the monitor is already pretty dusty, you’ll want to give it a quick wipe down with a damp soft cleaning cloth or paper towel first to remove the dust. When the screen is dry, rub the fabric softener sheet on it.
If the screen isn’t already dusty when you use it on your monitor, then you can still use it in your next load of laundry you are putting into the dryer. But if your screen is already Dusty when you’re using this trick first you’ll probably want to throw out the fabric softener sheet, so you don’t transfer the dust onto your clean clothes.
