Don’t you hate it when you go to use your scissors, only to discover that someone has cut something sticky with them and they are completely gummed up. And if you have tried the dishwasher, you know that while it might help a bit, it usually doesn’t quite get the job done. And there are several “remove stickiness” cleaners, but they are pretty expensive. Fortunately, there is a simple way to un-stick those sticky scissors so they will be working as good as new.
Put a small amount of white vinegar onto a clean cloth, then rub the scissors to remove any sticky residue. Rinse, dry well, and they will be as good as new!
Be sure to share this tip with your child’s teacher, kids have a way of cutting things with wet glue on it and all kinds of stickiness!
