Can you keep your computer on the floor?

Do you know that you shouldn’t keep your computer sitting on the floor? People have their computer sitting on the floor simply because it’s a convenient place to put it, and is the top of the desk clear for other items. Building a computer on the floor can actually affect its and, so you don’t want to do that.

Here sits on the floor it attracts much more test, because the floor tends to have the most acclimation of dust will settle down on surfaces, and the floor is the biggest surface in your house. When the dust gets into the computer, it can cause things to overheat and the fans to have to work harder, which can affect the components inside your computer. The reason you never want to set your computer on the floor.

Also, if your floor is carpet, this can also cause overheating and your computer case because there is not able to circulate underneath the case, as many cases require.

You do not have space to put your computer anywhere else but on the floor? If this is the case, you would least want to raise it up off the floor. You can build a box that your computer can sit on, or you can even utilize a footstool that you can place your computer on.  You can also see if your computer desk has a built-in shelf that is meant for your computer to sit in. When people fill the space with books, not realizing it’s actually had a built-in spot for the computer. Any of these will greatly help keep the dust out of your case.

It is also worth a reminder that you should be opening your computer case periodically, such as every 3 to 6 months, and blow out any dust that has accumulated inside the computer case. This is important to make sure that computer parts don’t start to overheat because of the dust build-up.
