Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp or to taste
  • 1/2 beef broth

On serving day

  • 6 pita shells on serving day

Instructions

  • In large skillet, brown ground beef, ensuring you break up into small pieces as it browns, about 5 minutes or until no pink remains.
  • Over medium heat, add onion, minced garlic, chili powder, oregano, flour, cumin and cayenne pepper. Cook for about five minutes or until onions are soft.
