Have you noticed when you get your wheels rotated, or even just go in for an oil change, they try and upsell you with getting your tires rebalanced to even out the wear on your tired? But is it worth the money to do so?
Rebalancing tires essentially places small weights on the each tire so that they are perfectly aligned and drive perfectly straight – slightly out of balanced tires will tend to pull slightly to one side while you dirve, but unless it is extreme, it is really not cause for concern.
With rebalancing tires costing about $50 to do, it usually isn’t worth the money to get your tires rebalanced unless you notice excessive wear on your tires or you notice severe vibration while driving. And if it does become a problem in the future, it will likely cost you the same amount as when they try and “bundle” it with tire rotations or an oil change.
