A quick stir fry using steak as well as mushrooms to give it a kick.
1 lb beef tenderloin steaks, 1″ thick
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cups sliced mushrooms (ie. button, shiitake, baby Portobello)
1/4 cup beef broth, seasoned
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook steaks in oil, about ten minutes each side, or to desired doneness. Place steaks on a warming plate. Then add mushrooms to skillet, sauting until tender. Add beef broth and whipping cream to skillet over medium heat, stirring for 2 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Pour mushroom sauce over steaks and serve.
