4 lb roasting chicken, cut up in pieces 3 diced onions 1 sliced carrot 4 minced garlic cloves 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp salt 1/8 tsp white pepper 14oz can crushed tomatoes 1 lb shelled raw shrimp 2 cups cooked rice
In slow cooker, combine all ingredients but shrimp and rice. Cover and cook on low 2-4 hours, until chicken is tender.
Add shrimp and rice. Cover again, change heat setting to high, and cook 20 minutes, or until shrimp are done.
