Budgeting for Raising a Child

You have probably heard it mentioned before how expensive raising a child can be, especially when that child turns into a teenage son or especially a daughter!

Fortunately, most people look at this kind of budget as a year to year expense, and don't often look at it as how much it will cost over eighteen years. Curious? Check out the new MomsBudget Cost of Raising a Child calculator.

You can use this calculator to take a look at the figures, but be warned, it will probably shock you!

Obviously, there can be contributing factors that can affect the bottom line, such as any disabilities, private school education, or special activities (such as sports where the child has potential to go professional, so more time and money is spent in those areas). So be aware of this, and adjust as neccessary.
