Poster Paint

Great for schools, day cares or home too!

1/4 cup flour
1 cup water
3 tbsp. powdered tempera paint
2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. liquid starch or liquid detergent (optional)

In a medium saucepan, add flour, then slowly add 1 cup of water, mixing until smooth. Heat over medium heat, remembering to stir continuously while mixture thickens. Once thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool.

Measure 1/4 cup of flour mixture into individual cups for paint (larger sized baby food jars work well). Add paint and water to each cup and mix until color is throughout flour mixture.

If you would like a glossy finish, add liquid detergent to each color. If you would like an opaque finish, add liquid starch instead.
