Create a dress up trunk

If your daughter loves to play dress-up, it is quite easy to make a dress-up trunk or box or her, without spending a fortune.

Watch garage sale and thrift stores for silly hats, brightly colored dresses, funny high-heeled shoes with white heels on them for balance, etc. Especially watch the summer months, when you can often find used bridal gowns or prom dresses for next to nothing, and your daughter will feel like a real princess when wearing them.

If you're feeling particularly brave, you can go through your old cosmetics and donate that old powder blue eye shadow, sparkly nail polish or fluorescent pink lipstick you bought during some trend yet never wore.

Dress-up trunks can create hours of fun or your daughter and for her friends when they come over for it if it. It is a great way for them to express their imaginations in a creative way. and if you have a camcorder, offer to set it up in the corner and they can act for the camera in their dress-up clothes. Years from now, those videos will be priced with mementos of their childhoods - and if they act out any wedding scenes, they are great to bring out when she gets married in real life.
