Create a No-Bake Clay Pot

This super easy pot requires no baking at all!

4 cups flour
1 tsp alum
1-1/2 c salt
1-1/2 c water
tempura paint
white craft glue

Mix dry goods in a bowl, then slowly add water, kneading clay as you go.

Roll and shape clay into a ball. Using your thumb, press a hole in the middle, and gently press out on each side of the whole to create the hole inside the pot. Gently press until the sides are about 1/2" thick. You can shape the pot as you wish, such as gently making it taller or with scallops around the top edge.

Sit pot carefully on a shelf and allow to dry for 2-3 days. Check to ensure it is completely hard and dry before painting your design with tempura paint. Allow to dry, then seal it by painting on a mixture of equal parts of glue and water.
