Donuts for Dogs Recipe

2 cups whole wheat flour
2/3 cup beef broth (real or simulated)
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons uncooked oatmeal
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400°F

In a large bowl, add flour, egg and broth, mixing well. Add oatmeal and garlic powder, mixing until ingredients are all evenly distributed. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/2" thick.

Using two circle cookie cutters of different sizes, cut the dough with the large circle first. Then use the smaller circle and cut out a circle in the center of each larger circle. Carefully lift each donut and place on a lightly greased or non-stick cookie sheet. You can then re-roll the remaining dough for more donuts.

Cook for 10-15 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning. You can them remove them and allow to harden, or you can turn the oven off, and leave them in the oven to harden, but you will need to keep an eye on them in the beginning to watch for burning.
