Doggie Pizza Treats Recipe

3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
1 cup grated Parmesan, Romano or Mozza cheese
2 tablespoons melted margarine
1 egg
2/3 cup plain tomato sauce
1/3 cup water
Olive oil
Garlic powder
Parsley

In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, and grated cheese, then add melted butter. In a separate bowl, beat egg, then add tomato sauce and water. Add to the flour mixture, and mixing well. Knead for one minute, then refrigerate for one hour, or overnight.

Preheat oven to 375°F. Divide dough in half, and roll the dough 1-inch thickness on a pastry sheet or a lightly floured counter surface. Using cookie cutters, cut the dough into shapes, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Prick each treat with a fork, then brush lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle parsley and garlic powder.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Allow to fully cool, then treats can be stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator.
