When a pet goes missing, it is amazing the number of people who have to search for a picture of their pet . Or those that have no idea what medication their pet is on, incase they need to get an emergency prescription while on holidays. And if there is a natural disaster, you want to make sure your pet can be reunited with your family.
You should have a pet identification kit ready incase disaster strikes.
What you need:
- Clear photos of your pet
- Medical and vaccination history
- Prescription information copies
- Purebred registration papers
- Pet’s vital stats (weight, eye color, tattoo, microchip, identifying details
Once you have your kit ready, seal it in a plastic bag to keep it together. If you are traveling, make sure you have it in your glove box or bag, otherwise keep it with other important papers in your house.
And don’t forget to take a refresher on what you need to do if your pet ever does go missing.
