It always seems
that wine glasses get broken when you are trying your hardest
to wash them after a party. And since wine glasses need to
be washed by hand, since high temperatures in the dishwasher
can break or weaken delicate stemware, this means doing it
by hand in the sink. Here is how to wash your wine glasses
without those painful accidental breaks!
First, place a
rubber mat in the bottom of the sink, such as the rubber mat
used underneath a dish dryer for hand washing. This will help
prevent accidental chips from the bottom of the sink.
Use a mild dishwashing
detergent, or even handsoap if you have only dishwasher detergent
on hand.
Rinse with warm
water and dry with a clean dry cloth. This will prevent spots
forming from drying naturally.
