Apple Crisp in a Jar Mix
½ cup all purpose flour
¾ cup packed brown sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ cup oats
½ cup raisins
Jar 1 pint
Layer all ingredients in the order listed above into a 1-pint wide-mouth canning jar.

4 medium sized apples, tart is best, cored and sliced (about 4 cups sliced)
1/3 cup butter, softened
Preheat oven to 375°. In a 8×8 square greased baking dish, arrange apples on bottom of dish. In a bowl combine contents of jar, mixing well, add butter, mixing well, then sprinkle over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping has turned golden brown. Serve warm from the oven with ice cream or whipping cream.
