Believe it or not, most running shoes can be washed in the washing machine!
First, tackle your running shoes with baby wipes, often any dirt and grunge can be removed my simply scrubbing with baby wipes or kitchen wipes. If that doesn’t do the trick – then the washing machine in it.
First, make sure there isn’t anything that makes the running shoes unable to be immersed in water, such as toddler shoes with lights. Also, if the shoes have fancy trim, you might not want to wash them in the washing machine either.
To wash your shoes, place each in a pillowcase and tie a knot at the end. This will cushion the shoes and prevent them from banging against the sides or each other as much, which can result in the shoes getting a bit scuffed each time you wash. Then wash the shoes in the washing machine as normal with laundry detergent, either on their own or with a load of towels (which will also help prevent scuffing).
Remove the shoes from the washing machine and allow to air dry.
