We have all done loads of laundry where we we are trying to cram in those last few pieces of clothing so we don’t need to do in entire new load of laundry or wait until the next laundry day. But did you realize that when you cram your washing machine full it actually will make more work in the end?
When you stuff your washing machine full, there isn’t enough room for the laundry to move around to get clean, as well as for the laundry detergent to distribute properly, especially if you are using powdered laundry detergent. This is what causes you to end up with clumps of powder on your laundry as well as those powdered laundry detergent stains. It simply because there wasn’t enough room for the water to break down the powdered laundry detergent amongst the clothes.
So next time you’re tempted to overstuffed your washing machine, remember that you do you need to leave a little bit room to allow for the agitation to actually get the clothes clean. Otherwise you end up with clothes that just aren’t clean.
Do you have a front loading wash machine? Yes you can fill it right to the top, just don’t cram the clothes in to stuff as many pieces of clothing as possible.
