Most people are familiar with the sticky style of lint rollers that you peel off to expose a clean sticky surface. They are really cheap, usually come in multi-packs, and are pretty convenient.
But lately there have been expensive reusable lint rollers, that you must wash to reuse. Are these worth the hassle or money? Or are you better off using the disposable sticky kind?
First, consider how often you use lint rollers. For many people, one single disposable roll will last years. But for others who frequently use them, you might use one or two each month, especially if you have pets in the family that tend to shed on your clothing and furniture.
If you use en entire disposable lint roller in a month or two, it is going to make more sense to purchase one of the reusable ones to save money.
Do be aware that the reusable ones might not be able to handle heavy duty jobs – such as a sofa covered in pet hair. So you might want to hang onto some disposable lint rollers for those heavy duty jobs, or invest in one of the pet hair removal sponges that are quite effective in that job.
