When should you add bleach to your washing machine

Did you know that bleach is not very effective when you add it right at the beginning of your laundry load in the washing machine? You will want to add your bleach about five minutes into the wash cycle, to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Some newer washing machines have an automatic bleach dispenser. This means that it will dispense the bleach into the wash at the proper time to ensure that it gets the job done best. If you do have an automatic bleach dispenser, you can use that instead of adding it manually five minutes into the wash cycle.
