Make your own dried pineapple slices

Dried pineapple is a great kid-friendly after school snack, or even as a recess snack in your child's lunch. Here is how to make it.

Preheat oven to 250F. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice pineapple in thin rings, removing core from center of pineapple. Place pineapple rings in a single layer on cookie sheet. Cook for 2-3 hours. It may take longer depending on how juicy the pineapple used is.

Pineapple is done when it is no longer juicy, yet not crunchy. It will have a chewy consistency when done. Allow to cool and serve!
