Do you have problems remembering prices when planning out your monthly budget? If you do, try starting a price notebook to keep your most frequently used prices on hand when budgeting for the month.
What sorts of things could go in your notebook? Think about the things you often go to the grocery store for each week, staples such as bread and milk.
You can also expand this to include such things as admission prices to movies or drop in swimming, the price of the ballet shoes you suspect your daughter will grow out of in a few months, and even price of your tune ups or oil changes.
As you become more aware, you can also begin recording the price variations. This is especially good when you shop at multiple stores, but have a hard time remembering when a good deal really is a good deal, and if the price is cheaper elsewhere.
You can also transfer your most frequently used prices into a smaller mini notebook that easily fits in your pocket or purse, which is great when you are out shopping and run into something you think might be a really great deal.
