Sharing
a household with another single mom
One of the latest
ways for single moms to save money is by finding another single
mom as a roommate. With two incomes for one household, many
moms find they can afford a larger house, or a house in a
better area with a superior school than in the neighborhood
they could afford to live on their own.
If this is an option
you would like to consider, check around with friends to see
if they know of a single mom who might be receptive to the
idea. They mind be able to think of a fellow mom who shares
a similar personality type who might be receptive to the idea,
even if it had never occurred to her before.
There are also
roomate finding services that might be able to assist you,
including some that specifically cater to single moms.
If this is an option
you would like to consider, be sure to take your child's feelings
into account if the mom in question has kids your children
just do not get along with, particularly if they will be sharing
a bedroom. But that said, these kinds of situations will often
create lifelong friendships, for both you and your kids.
