Does one degree really make a difference?

Do you realize that simply turning down your thermostat by a single degree can save you between 50 and hundred dollars just in the year. This is a great way to cut your household budget when money is tight.

So how much difference does a degree really make in terms of household comfort? Surprisingly, probably no one in your family will realize that the thermostat has been turned down by a degree. You may also find you can to turn it down another degree or two over the course of a couple weeks, and they still will not realize it. And by doing that you have suddenly shaved up to $300 off your budget a year.

ideally, you should start doing this right as the weather begins to turn cold. If you decide to try it during the coldest week a year, your family may notice. But if you start it in the fall when you began to use your thermostat to heat the house, you should be able to do it without anyone noticing anything different over the previous year.
