Beware of buying used homeschooling workbooks with marks

Many homeschoolers have purchased used workbooks where the seller claims the marks on the worksheets "can be erased". But unfortunately, that can be easier said than done! many a homeschooling mom has tried saving money on workbooks but find that often the pencil marks of a child are quite deep and make many worksheets show the answers quite clearly, even when re-photocopied.

As a rule of thumb, unless you are looking at the workbook in person and can test erase a few marks, try and buy workbooks that are "like new" without marks, which are fortunately quite common since many moms do keep their workbooks in good shape with reselling the workbooks in mind.
