With homeschooling materials so expensive, it makes sense to try and keep all your materials in perfect condition so that you can resell them later and reinvest that money into the next year’s study units. Here are tips to keep them in good shape.
- Since most damage will be from your kids, offer an incentive if they keep their books etc in good shape for the entire year, offering a coveted toy or movie in exchange.
- Most workbooks allow you to reproduce for personal use. You can easily scan the pages and print them on your computer. But be sure not to resell the books until you have finished using all the reproduced pages.
- Avoid lugging around the books in backpacks or between locations. This will reduce the wear and tear.
- If you need to label your books, you can make removable labels on your computer. At the end of the year or when you have finished using them, simply peel off.
With a little discipline, you can be sure to get the top dollar when you resell your homeschooling materials at the end of the year.
