How to fix a squeaky door

Doors that squeak are so annoying! Here is how to fix the most common squeaky door cause - the hinges.

Here's what you need:

Hammer
Steel wool
WD-40 or similar lubricant

First, pop the pins out of the hinges, using a hammer if they don't pop up easily. Then carefully clean them with the steel wool to remove any dirt and other debris. Do the same for the pins. Now lubricate both the hinges and the pins with the WD-40.

Once they are lubricated, carefully put the door hinges back together and insert the pins. No more squeaky door!
