Budget housing in small rooms often seemed to go hand-in-hand. But you can make those small rooms seem even larger to yourself and to your guests. All you need is a simple mirror.
You want to place the mirror in such a position that it makes the room appear larger. First, you need to decide how to position it. If there is a window, consider placing the mere opposite the window, because it will reflect the natural light coming in the window, and particularly if it’s a large window it creates even more depth. If there are no windows, consider the wall that faces the door to the room. If there is more than one door, choose the door that most guests would enter by.
For the mirror itself, you do not want to have glass that is tinted dark, as used to be the trend. You want the mirror to create brightness, not promote darkness.
Some people prefer to choose a mirror with a funky frame while others prefer simply to install it using the tiny glass hangers. The choice is up to you and what you think would see the room best.
