People tend to do one of two things when it comes to watering their garden – either they overwater, wasting water and money, or they forget to water and constantly are trying to bring their plants back from death with shriveled leaves and poorly producing fruit/flowers/veggies.
Consider automating your watering instead. Use soaker hoses on a timer so you are only watering specifically what needs watering, you can set it to water in the middle of the night so you lose less water to evaporation in the summer months (who wants to get up at 2 or 3am to water their garden? Not me!)
You can even get special hoses meant for watering hanging baskets on a timer, too.
And when you set your watering on a timer, you will only have to have the water running for 5 or so minutes, versus the 15 or 20 minutes it would take most people to do it by hand.
