1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
Pepper to taste
3 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp minced garlic
In a medium saucepan, saute garlic in small amount of oil until golden brown. Immediately add remaining ingredients and combine well, bringing to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for five or so minutes, or until it is thickened and all lumps are disolved. Freeze.
On cooking day: Thaw and heat in medium saucepan. You can add your favorite additions to sweet and sour sauce while reheating, such as pineapple chunks or green peppers. Ready for serving with your favorite Chinese food dish!
