Mozzarella Sticks Freezer Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1/2 tbsp milk
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
On cooking day
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup marinara/tomato/pizza sauce
Instructions
- Cut mozza cheese into sticks that are about 1/2" by 2". Coat each piece with flour. In a small bowl, combine beaten eggs with milk, then dip each piece into the egg mixture then immediately roll in the seasoned bread crumbs until completely coated.
- Place each piece on a cookie sheet, then when each piece is done, flash freeze in the freezer. Once frozen, you can store them in a Ziploc bag or freezer container.
On cooking day
- These can be deep fried from frozen, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
