How to remove stains from freezer containers

How often have we all stained our plastic containers we use for freezer cooking? All it takes is that one batch of spaghetti sauce before it turns that orangey-red color. But there is a quick tip you can use when elbow grease and multiple dishwasher cycles don't help.

Make a thick paste with baking soda, and scrub the containers with the rougher side of your cleaning sponge. If your stains are not removed entirely, they will at least be less noticeable, saving many of your containers from the "tomato sauce only" status, especially if you are giving containers to family or friends when they need extra meals cooked.
