Quickly Removing Air From Zip Bags

If you are quickly trying to remove air from ziploc bags, but without the assistance of a vacuum sealer, it can be a frustrating job to both squeeze the air out while you try to zip - and usually with wet and slippery hands! Fortunately, there is a quick way to do it.

Keep a large bowl filled with water, or fill the sink up with water. Slowly placing the ziploc in the water will use water pressure to force the air out. Just be careful to keep the top of the bag above the waterline to avoid any contamination of your freezer meal.
