If you have a vacuum sealer, you can definitely package your freezer meals as well as meat to prevent freezer burn (since air is what causes freezer burn on food).
First, squeeze out as much air as possible then zip the freezer bag nearly all the way. Then insert a straw (preferably a clear one) and suck the straw to get the last bit of air out. Be careful not to suck up any sauces or juices! Then quickly remove the straw and seal the last bit of the zip on the plastic bag.
