Many recipes incorporate alcohol into them, such as wine to give them flavour, or sherry. But if you have a recipe that uses alcohol, can you then freeze it to save a meal for later if you are doing OAMC?
It really comes down to the quantity of alcohol used. For any small amounts of alcohol in meals, whether it is wine or liquor, it is generally fine to freeze because the amount of alcohol is not high enough quantities to affect the freezing, especially since the ingredient is mixed throughout the dish. So there’s no problem with going and freezing any meals you’ve made that have alcohol in it for once a month cooking.
If you are freezing anything with a large amount of alcohol, such as margaritas, then they won’t be frozen solid, they will still retain a somewhat slushy consistency due to the quantity of alcohol used.
