Canned tuna is a great and versatile staple to have in your cupboard because it can be used in something as simple as a tuna fish sandwich or in a dish like the family favorite tuna noodle casserole.
But sometimes you don’t need to use an entire can at once and you don’t want to put the food to waste by forgetting about it in the fridge because you have no immediate plans to use the rest.
But what about freezing it? Yes, you can definitely freeze canned tuna. To freeze the remaining tuna in a can, spoon out the tuna into a small freezer Ziploc. Be sure to squeeze the air out, then seal it. Label it with the current date.
Once frozen, the tuna should be used within three months.
