Should you spray a new pair of shoes?

It happens nearly every time you buy a new pair of shoes... when you take them up to the cash register to pay, the salesperson tries to upsell you with some spray that you "have" to have to keep your new shoes or boots looking good. But do you really need it?

Yes, this is one time that you should be upsold, but that said, you need to be only upsold once and then you can spray your shoes everytime you buy a new pair. Spraying them does keep them looking good because it can repell stains as well as make them water resistant.

Just buy one all-purpose shoe spray, and read the instructions well before you use them. But this can of spray should last you a very long time, so unless you buy an unusual type of shoe material, you are set!
