Are you a wider width? Most shoe salespeople do not check this, and rely on the shoppers to tell them they need a wider width.

Unfortunately another reason salespeople to check is because they carry the standard medium width, and that's it. So if you are a wider width, you find it harder to find shoes, or you might just decide to make do with a medium fits in a material that will give a little. If you are going to do this, leather and suede are your best bet.
