Just because you have limited income to spend on all the extras in life that your kids want, doesn't mean that you need to limit special trips and activities with your kids. There are many free activities you can do with the kids that don't cost a dime.

• Explore a park. Most towns and cities have parks where you can go for a walk or a hike. You can watch for birds, wildlife and bugs, identify trees and flowers, and have a picnic lunch along the way too.
• Visit the various playgrounds in and around your town. Each playground is usually set up different with different equipment and layout, so it would be a new adventure for your kids
• Go to the library. Try and schedule a weekly visit to the library, so your kids and choose books or videos for the week.
