Cinnamon Spice Scented Pinecones

Rinse pinecones with water. Lay cones on an old cookie sheet and place in 300 degree oven for one hour. Spread cones out on layers of newspapers and set aside for complete drying. (This step is recommended, but is optional)

Sprinkle with ground cloves and cinnamon (or you can choose one or the other, if you'd prefer). Gently tap off excess spice. Let dry and arrange in basket. Decorate with colorful ribbons, cinnamon sticks and greenery.
