There is great satisfaction in buying stockpiles for your freezer, but when so many products come in bulky boxes that take up space. If you got 36 boxes of 4-pack waffles, that is a lot of wasted space. What can you do to alleviate some of the problems?
Items you use frequently, remove from the boxes and store in plastic bags in a lot less space.
If it is something you don’t use as frequently, use scissors to cut out the instructions and store them in the plastic bags along with the food. The last thing you want to find in your freezer is chicken pies and no idea how to cook them properly!
Make sure you are also rotating products in your freezer, you don’t want to let food expire or get freezer burn.
For long term storage, be sure to seal with vacuum-sealed bags, especially for meat and poultry.
