You know those pesky coupons that state “Do Not Double”? But do some stores double those coupons anyway to save you even more money?
Unfortunately, those coupons that state they cannot be doubled really cannot be doubled. The cash registers that automatically double coupons won’t double these ones, and a cashier looking at the fine print will see that they clearly state that they cannot be doubled.
Sometimes it isn’t worth using the coupons that state they cannot be doubled, when you can find a similar coupon that does allow doubling. Just make sure you read your coupons – you don’t want to go to the cash register with what you think is the great steal of the year, only to doscover that it was only because of the coupon doubling that made it worth while.
Some women use special systems to identify the coupons that can’t be doubled, especially when you do the majority of your shopping on coupon double days. Some clip them with a specific colored paper clip or stick a small post-it sticker on the ones that cannot be doubled. Those that use binders put them on seperate pages in each section. Doubling is a great deal, but not when you think something is doubled when it isn’t.
