Unless you’re making fancy martinis and other cocktails, you may not have Triple Sec on hand in your pantry or liquor cabinet. But if you have a recipe that calls for triple sec, what can you use in place of it?
The easiest substitute for triple sec is to use orange juice concentrate. This means the type of orange juice that is frozen. It is called concentrated orange juice because you need to add a considerable amount of water to make up a proper orange juice.
But for substituting Triple Sec you would want to use the frozen concentrated orange juice directly, with no need to dilute it. We’ll need to saw it first before using it in a recipe though, but since you generally only need a few ounces of triple sec, it can thaw incredibly quickly.
