Vanilla sugar is
a real treat when you use it in coffee, over cereal or even
in baking.
1 1/2 cups white
sugar
1 Tahitian vanilla bean
Pour sugar into
a jar. Split vanilla bean, and scrape the seeds out, placing
them into the sugar, mixing them well. Then add the rest of
the vanilla bean, inserting them into the sugar. Seal and
store in a dark cupboard. Shake or mix the vanilla sugar every
few days for two weeks, then enjoy! Vanilla sugar will last
up to a year when stored in an airtight container.
